AI & The Future of Dressage: The Shift Most People Are Underestimating
The equestrian industry is on the edge of a major shift.
And most people are underestimating it.
By 2050, and likely much sooner, AI will fundamentally reshape how we work with horses.
Health monitoring will become predictive instead of reactive.
Training will be data-driven and highly personalised.
Veterinary diagnostics, including X-rays, will be standardised globally through AI.
Competitions may move towards objective, data-based judging.
Feeding, saddle fitting and stable management will be optimised per individual horse.
Purchase decisions will increasingly be supported by data-driven matchmaking.
Which leads to a more important question.
If AI optimises everything, where does human value remain?
In my view, exactly where it has always mattered most.
Interpretation.
Trust.
Decision-making.
Understanding both horse and rider beyond the data.
AI will not replace the top of the market.
It will expose the difference between average and exceptional.
The real opportunity is not to compete with AI,
but to position yourself on top of it.
Curious to hear your perspective.
